"Learn about Access Databases. Plenty of Access database tutorials, step by step - get you started!"

Want know and learn about Access Databases but haven’t a clue where to start? I'll show you how to get going the easy way using the rich tools that Microsoft Access offers.

I know from a personal (and sometimes painful) experience of the long nights spent drinking plenty of black coffee sitting in a small dingy smoked filled room with a good friend of mine learning how to build, implement and work with this application wishing we had decent help files, books and even a useful website resource; the number of mistakes and frustrations working with then version 1.1 were made and the heartache of realising some of the methods implemented could have been altogether avoided if only someone had provided me with help and the human element of using an Access database system.

This website is for those who don’t like drinking black coffee or the long nights and working in the dark as I attempt to provide and part my experience with plenty of Access tutorials, templates and help files covering all versions (current version being Access 2010) that will assist you in designing that illusive database using the correct methodologies and techniques.

About Access databases provides all users whatever their levels of abilities covering from beginners wanting to learn how to create a standard stand-alone database using simple Access templates, downloading example databases to picking up Tips 'n' Tricks along the way through to the more advanced accomplished user who wants to know about advanced queries, forms and reports design techniques.

The Access database application provides a rich set of powerful tools ranging from a simple database design model to the multi-user network version using Access's administrative tools at all levels which include the Relationship Window, Database Splitter, Linked Manager Tool and Access Security module to name but a few.

For the more technical, we discuss and show the database design methodologies, illustrate database normalisation principles, use Access SQL and master Access VBA code.

With this wesbite 'About Access Databases', I’ll show you how to use the application’s help files correctly and efficiently, cover frequently asked questions and provide SQL and VBA code examples (for the advanced user) to help smooth that learning process at a good pace and slowly flatten what sometimes appears to be a steep learning curve!

For beginners, I suggest you start by reviewing the pages on Access fundamentals and complete the tutorials to ease you through this learning curve. Even intermediate users may find some discussion points useful and you never know, the penny may drop too.

Learning about Access databases to produce great looking applications is at the end of a mouse click in this website and this is my gift to you with no obligation to buy anything at all - it’s all free information!

I hope you enjoy using this website and start learning the power of using Microsoft Access.

Thank You.
